Why is my domain re-directing to the blog even though it's hosted elsewhere?

I am trying to set up the domain that I’ve purchased a while back on wordpress.com to be hosted somewhere else, but I’m running into a problem which I hope you can help me troubleshoot.
Here’s what I’ve done to try to self host this domain:
1. I modified the main blog url from lafollefourchette.com to lafollefourchette.wordpress.com
2. I went to the Domain Manager to change the DNS to point to my own host provider (hostpapa)
3. I went to my hosting account, and was successful at adding the domain to my server.
My problem is that there lafollefourchette.com is still redirecting to lafollefourchette.wordpress.com. I can’t seem to find where the re-direct is coming from. I’ve looked on my hosting account at Hostpapa, but there are no re-directs set up at all.
Do you have an idea of where this re-direct may be coming from?

I just went and took a look at your domain and it looks like the changes have actually gone through OK. When I go to lafollefourchette.com I pull up your Host Papa site!
If you’re still getting your old WordPress.com page, it may be that you’re having some problems with caching. You can try checking it out on another browser, or you can clear your cache and cookies by following these instructions:
