Why is my domain that I just paid for not registered or working?

About 2 hours ago, I registered for a domain name on your site for my blog. Since then I have been unable to update the blog to that domain even though it appears under my domains on WordPress. It is asking for me to update DNS information. When I try to validate the domain using your support page it says that it’s expired or not registered?

It looks like somehow that registration didn’t properly go through. I’m not sure how that happened and I apologize for the trouble. But can I ask you to give it another try? I have applied $18 in credit to your WordPress.com account, so you will not be charged a second time.
Simply log into your WordPress.com site’s dashboard, click on Store–>Domains, enter maddoxbrickell.com in the “add a domain” box and click the “add domain” button. Then simply follow the instructions that appear to register your domain.
