Why is my domain transfer denied?

    I have updated my website to another hosting provider. I want to transfer my domain there as well for admin reason. I requested the transfer code from WordPress and accepted the transfer several times.

    First, the transfer is initiated but it’s then refused. Each time I get a message saying the transfer has been denied and states some obscure ICANN policy why the transfer is refused.

    During this time, I don’t receive all my emails either. Nobody else has access to my domain as far as I can tell. This starts looking like my domain has been hijacked or something.

    I contacted WordPress support address provided in the notification email, but have not received back any kind of reply. They completely ignored my support request.

    What’s going on? What can I do?

    Both timothykestrel.com and theruleofranging.com have been transferred to TUCOWS, INC. (i.e., Hover).
