Why is my domain using the wordpress.com url instead of my purchased domain?

A couple of weeks ago I tried to change my blog from wordpress.com to wordpress.org. All my data was transferred but the theme messed up and my media library got wiped so I had no featured images. In the end, I chose to just go back to .com as it seemed like too much hassle. So, I got my name servers etc all changed back. However, since going back to .com, when I’m in my admin panel my domain changes to my old wordpress url (lifeofdresch.wordpress.com) but it SHOULD say lifeisntjustaholiday.com … Please could you make it so that lifeisntjustaholiday is my primary domain. I have this option ticked under My Domains, but it still seems to act of though the other one is.

    Thank you

  • When in the dashboard/admin area for your site, you will always see the _______.wordpress.com URL. Your visitors will only ever see your custom domain when they visit the site. It’s an easy thing to not notice (until you have to do something like set everything back up again), but this is the way .com sites have always operated.
