Why is my email no longer forwarding?
-
I changed my website and switched from Your-Site to WordPress. I worked with “Your-Site” and WordPress to ensure that my email sent to conniejo@ cjscountrydance.com would forward to my gmail address.
After weeks of going back and forth between the hosting companies, on July 14th, everything was set up and working fine
NOW – I am not getting any of those emails. This is horrific for me – that email address has been in use for 7 years, I have hundreds of clients who use that to contact me.
Below is the conversation I had this morning with Your-Site.
After reviewing this – PLEASE help me figure out how to get those emails coming through again
From: Your-site.com Tech Support
We no longer have any control over your website or email for cjscountrydance.com. You should contact google/gmail for assistance. It seems that the email address the person tried to send to was (email visible only to moderators and staff) and that that address does not exist on gmail’s end according to them. Did you create that address with them? They would have to help you sort that out.

A couple weeks ago, working with you, I paid Your-Site $36 for a year of email forwarding from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff)You walked me through the whole process of getting it set up properly and processed my payment. Everything was working fine.
Now emails sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff) are no longer being forwarded to (email visible only to moderators and staff) HELP – I worked with you and WordPress for weeks to ensure this would not happen
Eddie (Your-Site): You need to contact google for email assistance
Eddie (Your-Site): There is NOTHING I can do for you
Connie Jo Collins: I’m confused then, what did I pay $36 to Your-Site for? I understood that that was for you to handle the forwarding of my emails.
Eddie (Your-Site): You paid us initially for hosting and email forwarding. Once you decided to change to WordPress’s nameservers, they starting hosting everything. At first, they continued to point email back to us, so we did forward email to google, but since then, they have changed the mail forwarding to go directly to google and bypass us. So it was probably working fine for awhile until WordPress changed the “MX Servers”.

It doesn’t look like you have all of your MX records entered in your Custom DNS panel.
I recommend contacting your email provider to ensure that you have the correct records.
Please note that we can’t always support every email configuration, but you can always re-create your email address through Google Apps for Domains: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/google-apps-email/
