Why is my email not registered?

  I can’t access my old account (username florentine79) because it keeps saying that the email I registered with isn’t in your files and my password doesn’t work and I can’t reset it because it seems not linked to any of my emails. But I still receive emails from wordpress on it!
  So I created a new account but I have bought hosting and domain from Dreamhost and i would like to consolidate that here if possible.
  Can someone help?

  Please note that that is a WordPress.org, self-hosted site. We are WordPress.com.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. At WordPress.com, we provide hosting, support, and tons of features for blogs. Users also have the option to purchase a variety of upgrades to customize the look and feel of their blog. WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins.

  Therefore, it wouldn’t be possible to consolidate the accounts. I would recommend staying with WordPress.org. If you can’t recover your WordPress.com account using the verification methods here:
