Why is my email not working?

  Hi,
  I changed my email address in my account but every time I comment on a blog they ask me to sign in with my old email address. I checked in my account to make sure the new address was saved and it was so I don’t understand why it keeps asking to sign in with my old address and every time I try to it says that email address is not registered.
  PLEASE HELP.

  Hi there. You should have received a confirmation email when you made the change. The confirmation email contains a link you must click to confirm the change.

  I’m not sure whether the confirmation email goes to your old or to your new address, so check the spam folders on both accounts, as well as the Social tabs if you’re using Gmail. If you can’t find a confirmation email, let us know.

  I received the email to my new email and I clicked on the link but every time I want to comment on blogs it brings me to a page and ask me to login with my old email. I don’t want to always comment on blogs with my wordpress account this is why I have changed my email. I want to be able to use my old email and comment that way.
  I don’t understand why it keeps asking me to login with my old email since the new email is in my account.
  Can it be that wordpress will always recognize my old email and think this is still my email for my account even though it has been changed?

  When I am about to make a comment on a blog it says that I can either comment with Vanef23 or I can logout. When I logout, because I do not wish to make my comment with vanef23, and I enter the old email address, then it brings me to page saying: You are being asked to login because (email visible only to moderators and staff) is used by an account you are not logged into now. But that email address is the old one and my new one is on my account wordpress.
  Thanks for your help…this is driving me crazy.

  Can you just make sure my old email has nothing to do with my account wordpress?

  I’ll tag this for staff to follow up. It could be your old email is stuck in the system somehow. They’ll be able to see it and either fix it or advise you how to proceed. Please be patient while waiting for their response.

  Your WordPress.com email address for vanef23 was successfully changed to an address that starts with a C.

  When I logout, because I do not wish to make my comment with vanef23, and I enter the old email address, then it brings me to page saying: You are being asked to login because (your old address) is used by an account you are not logged into now.

  Because your old email address was associated with this account, our system may not allow you to comment using that address, and instead will be prompting you to log in under your new one. If you want to comment using a different account from your vanef23 account, or using an email address not associated with your account, you will need a different email address.
