Why is my featured image on my home page not showing up in Facebook?
-
I know why. A bug in Jetpack, it seems, or its configuration.
og:image is set to http://wordpress.com/i/blank.jpg?m=1383295312g gets on my homepage, no matter what I try, whether I set a featured image or not.
Please fix this! Thank you.

Hi there,
If you set a Blavatar or Gravatar for your blog (an organization logo, etc), that is what will be shared for your blog when you post just the blog URL. You can set these in your Dashboard >> Settings >> General or under Dashboard >> Users >> My Profile, respectively.
If you share individual articles, images which have been placed in or which are featured in those articles should be shared. I did a quick check with Facebook’s debugger on some of your recent articles and those seem to be pulling the images correctly.
Let me know if you’re still having troubles!

Good idea about the Blavatar/Gravatar workaround.
However, note that my question was about the HOME page. I see that, for most pages and posts, it will pick up the main image.
But it doesn’t do it for the home page, which, I think you’ll agree, is usually a pretty important page.

I understand that you are speaking about your home page. The page which you set as your home page stops behaving precisely the same was as every other page when you set it as the home page of your blog. It then behaves instead as the representative of your entire blog instead of just as a page. So instead Facebook looks for your Blavatar and Gravatar.
