Why is my formatting changed when I go from draft to post?
-
When I post a piece, the spacing between lines is often arbitrarily changed. My last post has a poem, which in draft has spaces between the stanzas. They disappear in the post, and nothing I tried would rectify the situation. This happens constantly. What’s going on?

Hi there,
Happy to help out here, but first I will need to ask a few questions so that I can better understand how this is happening.
When I post a piece, the spacing between lines is often arbitrarily changed. My last post has a poem, which in draft has spaces between the stanzas.
Formatting poetry on the web can be a bit tricky, but if you are careful it is definitely something you can accomplish. When you first created your draft, did you do it in the visual editor or the text editor? How did you space the stanzas? Did you add extra spacing by hitting the return key?
They disappear in the post, and nothing I tried would rectify the situation. This happens constantly. What’s going on?
I noticed you center aligned the text of the poem. When you centered the text in the editor, did you highlight each stanza at a time, and then center them individually, or did you highlight the entire block of text (all the stanzas at once, basically) before centering them?
Thanks for the additional info!
