Why is my front page configured differently?
-
My front page is my posting page for the blog and I cannot find a way to get the screen to look like my pages. A right side bar with unwanted widgets is showing up on the front page while the regular static pages are configured with a left side bar of my choosing. How can I correct this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s the way the theme is designed: it has two sidebars for the posts page and two different sidebars for regular static pages. To get rid of the “unwanted” sidebar items you need to add the widgets you prefer to the Blog Secondary Sidebar (once you add your own, the default ones will disappear).

Thank you. I followed your instructions, but the default sidebar remained. Any suggestions?

Did you click to open each widget you want to display in the Secondary sidebar, configure it, click “save” and then click “close”?
-
Yes, I chose the Blog Secondary Sidebar. I dragged the three widgets I wanted to use, opened them and configured them. I clicked “save” and closed them. They are all on the Blog just like I want them; however, the default sidebar is also there as the first sidebar. So there are three columns: posts, default sidebar, secondary sidebar.

Sorry, I thought you had added widgets to the first sidebar and wanted to change the second one. The “Blog Primary Sidebar” is obligatory but the “Blog Secondary Sidebar” is optional. So, if you only want one sidebar on your homepage, open both the Blog Primary and the Blog Secondary sidebars and drag all the widgets from Secondary to Primary.
