Why is my Google Calendar embed rendering improperly?
-
The default template is “content-sidebar,” but the “Performance Calendar” page is set to the “one-column-page (no sidebars)” template so that the Google calendar embed will not appear cramped. The embed code (included below) is set for a width of 1000, but it appears to be rendering at 600 instead.

Help? Please?

FWIW, the embed worked fine when the “one-column-page (no sidebars)” layout was the default template, but I didn’t like that layout for the rest of the content…
-
I’ve plugged the embed into my other blog using a couple different themes, thinking it might be an issue unique to Mystique, but the problem remains.
-
And I’ve attempted a few workarounds…
The only way the calendar reads properly is with the one-column-page set as the default template. I made the calendar a static front page with the one-column default, but my posts page will only render in the default template even though I’m allowed to select other templates from the page attributes menu…and then there’s nowhere to put my widgets but in the footer. I just want to have my cake and eat it, too!

The Google Calendar embed respects the content width setting for the theme as a whole. The content width setting for Mystique is 604px, so the calendar won’t display wider than that.
I see what you mean about the One-Column-Page (No Sidebars) page template in Mystique though. I can put in a request for the theme team to review this to see if an exception can be added for that page template somehow. The theme team usually reviews bug reports weekly, but depending on what other work/priorities are first, the report may not get looked at right away. I will enter a request for you though.

Found a workaround. Try replacing this:
width="1000" height="700"With this:
width="100%" -
Ha! Just as I was writing a reply…
