Why is my gravatar generic in comments

  I don’t know if it has to do with ratings that my gravatar is generic on other people’s blogs when I post comments. I’ve rated my site pg. What are the reasons it’s not showing up in comments?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  A couple issues that could be causing this:

  • The other site could bet set to only allow G rated avatars
  • The other site could have avatars disabled

  You can try rating your avatar G and see if it changes anything.

  Thanks so much for the quick reply. When I change my avatar to G the photo I have in my sidebar changes to a generic avatar. It’s so strange. If I could keep my photo in the sidebar and have a G rating I would gladly do so.

  Have any idea why this happens?

  I am not sure why this is happening. The one thing I would suggest is to try uploading the image again to essentially create a “new image” for your gravatar. Let me know if that fixes it.
