Why is my mapping of my existing domain not working nor is my email?

  • Unknown's avatar

I just remapped my existing domain of thelifegardener.net to my wordpress blog of lifeeverafterendometriosis. My expectation was that I would now type in http://www.thelifegardener.net, and it would go to lifeeverafterendometriosis.wordpress.com, but that is not happening.

Also, my email associated with the domain is no longer working. I read the directions on your site; however, it does not specifically say HOW to get the DNS codes that I would need to set it up. How do I find what needs to go in the Custom DNS for getting my email back up and running?

  • Hi,

Your domain appears to be working properly.

It can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.

To activate your email, you will need to ask your email provider their MX settings.

As soon as you have those, or if your email provider is Google Apps, please contact us through a private request and we will help you set up the Custom DNS
