Why is my post not being shown on facebook, twitter and tumblr?

when I wrote a new blog post, it did not publicize to facebook, twitter and tumbler. I checked the boxes for all of these and updated it before it was published. Every time I updated it, and then tried again, it did not work. When I go back into my blog to edit the settings, all the boxes are not checked again. It does usually update to FB, twitter, etc automatically. This time I needed to add links so it would be on this sites.

Hi there,
It does indeed look like your account is connected correctly to all of the various Social Media outlets. When your post published it should have gone out as usual.
Though it doesn’t happen often (and I’ve never heard of it happening for all kinds of social media at once), Publicize can become disconnected from a social media source. We have created a help article which walks you through how to properly clear out the connection and re-connect them:

If, the next time you try and publish, the article does not go out properly, you may want to try these steps.

I just did another post. I went through all of the steps that you had sent a couple of days ago, When I did this post,, it says I am connected to all FB, Twitter etc. But I go into publicize,, edit, check all of the boxes ,update it, and then nothing happens. Went into twitter ,FB etc. again, and no links were there. I had to do it manually again. I went back into my post on word press, and back to the edit button ,and nothing is checked! I did it a few times and it is not staying checked and not posting to my social media.

I am so sorry that this is continuing to be such a hassle! I’m going to need to take this to one of our developers, but in order to make sure that I’ve got the right information, which post was it that you tried after disconnecting and reconnecting everything? Was it the hacked article? (http://missguydeddates.com/2014/07/24/hacked/)

yes it was the Hacked article. It happened with the previous post as well, “Check Please” , which is when I sent the first email to you. I manually added them to Facebook and twitter.

Oh! I had one more question for you. Which editor were you using to make your posts? We have two right now. One that you get to by going to WordPress.com and clicking the Pencil icon in the upper right hand corner, and then the original one which you get to by going to your Dashboard and then clicking on Posts >> Add new.
Could you let me know which is having this problem? Sorry for not asking before!

just want you to know that I just posted a blog post, and did it through NEW POST on the left side of my screen under posts. My social media buttons all worked! the other times I did it through dashboard and new posts. Maybe that is the issue that needs to be looked into- thanks !
