Why is my post showing up as a page?

  I try to create a post but it shows up as a page instead…every time!

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I just looked over your blog and it seems to be showing your posts normally. Can you point to a specific example where this issue is occurring?

  Well I deleted it – but I made a post and it showed up as a page instead of a post. When I was working on the post it was a post but then it posted as a page. When I went back to edit it, it showed up under the pages tab. And when I clicked on it to edit it was showing up as a page.

  I am not certain why that happened. Everything appears to be posting fine now. Are you sure you did not accidentally start a page instead of a post?

  @ leahztaub,
  I presume you’re referring to Quinoa Omelette Bites. That’s a static page. It’s impossible for a draft post to be published as a page. They aren’t created on the same editors, though the classic post and page editors are quite similar. As ariwinokur suggested above, the most likely explanation is that while intending to create a post, you accidentally created a page instead. I’ve done it. It’s a common mistake.

  It’s definitely the post editor – it says “You just published a post” but it doesn’t show up as a post. It shows up as a page! I’ve tried it over and over again and it does the same thing every time.

  I can’t think of any other reason why this can happen. However, there is always the possibility of a bug.

  It was a bug – yesterday it was doing that all night, and then I started a new post this morning and it posted just fine! Thanks for your help, both of you.
