Why is my privacy settings change not taking?
-
I originally had the blog set to “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” while it was in its early format. After our bosses give us the thumbs up, I selected “Allow search engines to index this site” and saved changes. It displays this on the dashboard, but the site still displays “This blog is hidden from search engines” icon.
Not sure what further steps to take, or if I should just “wait it out”?
Many thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there Candace! Congrats on the site launch.
It may take 4-6 weeks or more for search engines to revisit your blog and discover new content after you’ve changed your privacy settings. Registering your site on Google and requesting an update may help speed up discovery.
These tools will also assist you manage your site’s visibility:

Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Thanks, Robyn! (And on the congrats, it’s been fun working with people that don’t quite get the internet…)
I have already done all the above, and yet I still see the annoying eye and the line telling me the blog is still hidden. Will that disappear only when Google etc start indexing?
Much appreciated.
