why is my purchased domain not working

I recently signed up here and paid to have my own domain hosted here. But any changes I make to my blog’s appearance (or posts) only show up if I enter captainron4.wordpress.com through the dashboard.
If I go to the purchased domain of ronaldscotthansen.com none of the changes show up.
Needless to say I don’t want to pay for a domain I can’t use and I don’t want to explain to any readers of my blog how to enter through the dashboard.
Help! what do I do, and please use laymans terms in explanation.

I have spent 16 hours trying to get them apart! Whenever I signed in to http://ronaldscotthansen it would send me to http://captainron4.wordpress.com but hope I finally have them seperated.I obviously misunderstood how to open a hosted account.

Would it be possible to just delete this account since I have no blogs in it, or will that screw up my real account since they have been the same one?

Wait ….now it is showing this as the administrator of http://ronaldscotthansen.com again but won’t actually let me do anything.

You definitely don’t have any blogs under this account. I recommend just logging out and using the other.
