Why is my reader not loading posts from most blogs I follow?

    For the past few months I have noticed my reader page is not loading posts from many blogs I follow. Sometimes I see about 7-10 posts and reach the end only to see “Sorry, there are no more posts to read but you can always check out freshly pressed!”

    I follow 95 blogs with at least 2-3 non-Wordpress blogs and only see posts from at least ten I follow. I used to see posts from most of my followers but not any more.

    For example, http://womenhelpingaffirmthemselves.wordpress.com/ is a friend of mine’s blog and the only way I know she has posted something is via email notification which used to not be the case. Two other blogs I have been following for some time, http://mustardseedbudget.wordpress.com/ and http://afriendofjesus2013.com/ barely show up in my reader. I recently learned I was not following the latter blog for some odd reason and had to refollow.

    I also follow a blog that was on wordpress but is now non-wordpress and I never see any of her posts in my reader, http://livingsimplyinabundance.com/.

    Is there something I need to do to fix this or will someone please take a look at it to help me? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there,

    I’m sorry for the trouble with these blogs you’re following. Sometimes, this happens if you follow a blog while you’re logged out of your WordPress.com account — you’ll get email updates from the blog, but you won’t see updates in your Reader.

    Can you please try unfollowing the blogs that are missing from your Reader (like http://womenhelpingaffirmthemselves.wordpress.com/) and then re-following them? You can do that from the admin bar at the top of the page when you visit the blog while logged in to your account.

    If you run into any trouble with that, or if that doesn’t fix it for you, please let me know!
