Why is my scheduled post going up immediately?

The post is going on the blog immediately even though im scheduling it for a different time on the same day. I have one scheduled to go out at 15:00 tomorrow and that one seems to be fine, but the one that i have for the same time today just posts right away even if the button says ‘Schedule’ instead of ‘post’

Is the time zone set correctly?
Dashboard >> Settings >> Pick a city in your time zone – remember to save changes

I just did updated the time zone and all that jazz but its still doing the same thing :((

I see two posts currently scheduled on your site: “What’s In My Bag?” and “STUFF ASHLEY HASNT DONE – MOVIE EDITION”. Were you recently able to schedule these posts correctly? Could you let me know the title of the post that was scheduled to post at 15:00 tomorrow, but posted immediately instead?

I just posted it myself around the time that i wanted it to be posted at. Its the one titled ‘This is why im hot: Catherines favourite beauty products.’ I find that if i set something for the next day for example, it’ll work, but if i try to schedule something for later that day it just posts immediately.

Thanks for clarifying! I haven’t been able to reproduce this just yet. It looks like the post you mention was published at 15:00 on 2/24/15. When you enter the time, just to confirm, you’re entering it on a 24 hour clock. Correct? When you set this post to schedule, the timezone under Settings -> General for your site was correct as well?

PS – just a note on the actual time of publishing – a scheduled Post will publish when the first visitor visits AFTER the scheduled publish time – the time / date is then set equal to the scheduled time / date – – so a scheduled post might publish a bit late depending on your traffic – but should not publish early ever
If you want to know the actual time a post was published – subscribe to your site by email and note the time stamp when the email shows up

@lunarlosers – I’m still trying to reproduce this without any luck. Can you let me know if this happens again on your side after you’ve checked and confirmed the date and time on the post?

I did have some problems with Post times some time back when using Windows Live Writer – when published an earlier time / date was used – but did not have a problem with scheduled Posts going at the wrong time –
my way to get around what I saw as a bug – I would put the scheduled time an hour or so in the future and just wait for a regular visitor
