Why is my Sharing option in Settings not available?

  I just installed Jetpack and would like to add the share buttons. As per the sharing install steps I should see a ‘sharing’ option under settings for my wordpress.com blog, but I dont.

  I previously had a facebook plugin called ‘Add Link to Facebook’ but I didnt like it so i removed it. I never touched any code regarding sharing.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  Please make sure that the Sharing module is enabled in the Jetpack section of your Dashboard.

  Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, jetpack sharing module is definitely enabled and activated (Right now it has an option to deactivate it). Other modules like ‘site stats’ and ‘spelling and grammer’ are activated and work fine.

  When I click on the sharing link in the description text of the module I’m taken to a blank page that says “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” But I am the only admin and have full permissions for everything. So I’m stumped.

  Can you please try disabling all other plugins to rule-out a plugins-specific conflict?

  If that works, try re-enabling each one individually until you find the problem.

  OK just tried that and disabled plug-ins one by one and that still didn’t work.

  BUT, then I disabled the Jetpack plugin and then reconnected to wordpress.com and that fixed it! Not sure why, but its working now. Thank you for your help!
