Why is my side bar still missing? I did all the above.
-
My side bar is missing – you can see in preview – but when I go to view my page there is no side bar. It’s only when I formally view my blog. I have put what I though was the trouble in draft form. I dleared anything that I thought would interfere – html, etc. I’m really frustrated at this point and don’t want to do except delete the whole blog!

Typically this is caused by an open HTML tag in one of your posts and results form copying and pasting or importing content.
Note: For copying and pasting text from elsewhere without using either icon 5 or icon 6 in Row 2 of the visual editor, please see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text and here http://en.support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/#using-word-cleanly
Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Posts > All Posts, change all your latest posts to Draft, click Update, change them back to Published, click Update again. (You can edit all of them at once: tick the square in front of their titles then select Edit from the Bulk Actions dropdown and click Apply.)
If that doesn’t work see: http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/layout-issues/#sidebar and http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2012/05/19/sidebar-at-the-bottom-and-related-issues/

Did you copy and paste into any post or page on the blog in question?
If so, exactly which post or page did you copy and paste into?
Please provide active link(s) starting with http:// so we can examine them. -
Check the code in your text widgets. And also, confirm you’re not using one of those themes that shows the sidebar on some kinds of posts and not others.

No, you haven’t done the above. You have an extra div tag in the post on Natalie Wood. See here:
-
I saved my Natalie Wood Blog as a draft – then at my blog and everything was back. Just like you said JUSTPI there was an extra div. Also, I guess copy and pasting caused the problem (TIMETHIEF) Whew! I don’t understand why it waited a few weeks before this happen. Thank you so much for everyone’s help. :)

These kinds of errors are cumulative. Every new post adds slightly to the issue until finally SNAP! But now you’ve got that XHTML correction selected, it will not happen again.
