Why is my site forwarding still active?
-
I bought site forwarding to forward traffic to my new site, http://www.theenergizermommy.com. However, since wordpress.com requires me to have the date in my post urls and I do not have the date in the post urls of my new site, every redirection was going to a 404 error page. I realized this immediately and cancelled the service within minutes, did the confirmation by e-mail, and it was removed from my upgrades. However, when you try to go to my old site it still automatically forwards to a 404 error on my new site. I would like the forwarding turned off so I can redirect people manually, since I’d prefer they not be sent to a 404 error.
If there is a way to redirect them to my new page without the 404 error that would be great, too, but I don’t think you are able to redirect to a page that doesn’t have the date in the url, correct?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Unfortunately, the site redirect upgrade will not work for URLs that do not have the same permalink structure as your posts on WordPress.com. We have no way to change this on our end, but as you are on a self-hosted WordPress (also called “.org”) site, you may want to install a redirection plugin to help with this issue.
That kind of plugin would allow you to do more detailed redirect on your end to intercept traffic and direct it to the proper post with updated permalink structure.
Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

That does answer my secondary question but not my main concern. I uninstalled the redirect upgrade on WordPress.com but the redirection is still active. Please turn it off. I do not want all visitors to my old blog redirected to an error page.

No problem. I have removed the redirect, and traffic to http://givingherallshesgot.wordpress.com/ will no longer be sent to http://www.theenergizermommy.com.
Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
