Why is my site's logo not displayed correctly?
-
Hi.
I have an existing website that I’m slowly moving to WordPress.
My existing (non-Wordpress) website has this logo: http://f.cl.ly/items/3y1w2Z041Z1b2k3y0s1n/Logo_good.png
I tried uploading the same PNG file to WordPress and got this result:
http://f.cl.ly/items/1d2m2o100Y191a2Y2t0J/Logo_bad.pngThis is the picture I used for the logo: http://cl.ly/image/3h3c420a2o46/LK%20-%20Logo.png
WordPress is obviously not displaying the icon the way I would like. Any suggestion how I could fix this problem?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I took a look, and I see that we’re displaying the logo correctly on the site itself. You can see how it looks under Settings > General in the site’s dashboard and in the admin bar in the top left of the screen: https://cloudup.com/c1t38UHG1lX
The screenshot you sent is from your browser’s tab. We send the browser the image that you see in your general settings or in your WordPress.com admin bar, but we can’t control how your browser chooses to render and display the icon in the tab there. I’m sorry I could help you more in this case.

I respectfully disagree.
I opened the page in latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Opera and Firefox. It was the same for every browser. And as I said, I used the same icon that displays correctly on my current website.

Hi there,
I assure you that the image you upload under Settings > General is what is used for the favicon in the browser tab. You can read more about that here:
However, I passed along your concerns to our team, to see if there is anything more we can do to improve how the favicon is displayed in the browser. Thanks for the feedback!
