Why is my video out of sync when I upload it?

I have uploaded a video from several different source files, all of which work fine, but the video is messed up when played on the site.

Every other video I’ve uploaded has worked fine, but this one is being quite problematic.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Could you please send me the link of the page where you see this issue?

I’ve downloaded the video and it looks exactly the same as the video embedded in that post. Is it possible that something went wrong during the export of that video from your video editor?

The issue is that the source file is not the same. The export went fine, because on my computer (and indeed several others), the video plays as it is intended to. When I upload it to WP, though, the video begins to skip (the audio seems fine), and falls out of sync of where it’s supposed to be. The video is supposed to show the woman walking in the rain at 0:35, which, in the original video file, it does, but on WP, that seems to be delayed by corruption until 0:55 (or later). I have deleted and re-uploaded the file numerous times, and it seems to happen every time (albeit with different points where the file seems to jump back, incorrectly, each time). This is a problem with WP’s “processing,” and I am just wondering what I can do.

I don’t see what you are describing. I’ve downloaded the file and I see the woman walking around 0:55min. Could you perhaps export the file again and save it as a different format. Other than .mp4.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Right. In the proper file, the one I have re-uploaded, several times, the woman appears at 0:35. This is how it should be in the file displayed on the page, and in the file you are downloading, but somehow, when WP “processes” the video, it becomes corrupted, and begins to skip (delaying the appearance of the woman until 0:55) and fall out of sync. The file works in .mov (its original, and current, format, and the one which has been uploaded several times), and .mp4 (another file we have tried, same video, different encoding), and still the problem persists. The most recent upload was of a .mov file, and so if you are downloading it as an .mp4, it must the WPs conversion to .mp4 which is causing the issue, though it never has before. Also, when it was uploaded as an .mp4, the problem persisted, as well.

Could you please upload the original file to a filesharing site? like http://wetransfer.com and send me the link of your upload.

    Thank you!
