Why is my wordpress site not showing up through my domain name?

Hi, I have linked my wordpress account http://www.nualaholloway.wordpress to my domain name http://www.nualaholloway.com for a couple of years now. Recently the domain name has stopped working in Google Chrome, although it does work in Internet Explorer. The wordpress link http://www.nualaholloway.wordpress.com, continues to work in Chrome but my personal domain does not. Can you give me any idea as to what the problem might be?. I have checked with people in different parts of the world and they all find that http://www.nualaholloway.com is not working in Chrome. I have also checked with my domain registrar and they have advised me to contact you.

There is no domain mapping upgrade for nualaholloway.com. If you would like to use this domain you will first need to set up domain mapping.
When was the last time you paid for a domain mapping upgrade renewal? Have you allowed your domain mapping upgrade to expire? See here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades

If you would like to use your domain name you purchased elsewhere and map from your free hosted wordpress.com blog to it, then you will first need to set up domain mapping. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
After you make the domain mapping purchase here > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades and do the primary blog set up it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

Hi timethief, thank you for your response. Is this domain mapping upgrade an ew feature on wordpress? as I have had my wordpress account connected through my domain for several years now without any problems. It only happened in the last week. I never had any domain mapping feature.

What you were doing is called forwarding and masking. It is not reliable and we do not help with such issues as forwarding and masking is not supported. the reliable means of doing this is what I already posted above ie. mapping to an existing domain. Either you purchase an annual domain mapping upgrade or you will have an unreliable situation that we will not help you with.
