Why is one of my posts have featured written above it?

  One of my posts says “featured” above it and does not include the date. I also recently published another post but it is displayed before this post on my homepage. Can anyone explain why this is, and if its a problem tell me how to fix it? Much appreciated.

  That post you have made it a sticky, which means it is featured, and sticks to the top of your posts ‘page’, people use it to ensure that it remains visible to people without being trapped under all the new posts. If you error the post and go to the visibility option, and remove the tick under public which says stick to front page.
