Why is private event showing up?

  We are using Eventbrite Multi Event theme.

  An ‘event’ for donations is showing up on our website even though the event is listed as private and even though I have checked the ‘only display public events’ in

  Dashboard-Appearance-Theme Options

  Hi Joe,

  Do you mean the second event called “Donation” on your page here:

  http://dogstorytheater.com/events-list/

  I followed the link to the Eventbrite event, and I’m able to see that event publicly here:

  http://www.eventbrite.com/e/donation-tickets-16928799495

  Can you double check in Eventbrite to make sure the event is listed as private there?

  Hi Rachel. It definitely is set to private.

  I have no idea why it isn’t acting private!

  Hi Joe,

  Don’t despair! It looks like something is going wrong that we might be able to fix on our end, or with Eventbrite’s help. I reported this issue to our developers so they can take a closer look at it, and I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back about that!

  Hi Rachel. Well, I thought that maybe they fixed it but…

  Soooo, now it isn’t showing up on the home page or “Events list” but it shows up on the calendar like crazy :)

  Can you let peeps know?

  Well, darn. I was about to send you a message to let you know our team fixed this, but I see what you mean about it showing up all over your calendar. I’ll check with our developers to see what’s going on and let you know when I get an update about it!

  Good news! One of our developers fixed up the calendar so it doesn’t show your private events anymore. Thanks for pointing that out, and please let me know if you run into any more trouble with your site. :)

  Hi Joe,

  There wasn’t any problem with the way you were doing things, so there’s no need to worry. Our team and Eventbrite made some behind-the-scenes changes that caused these issues, but they are all patched up now. :)

  Hi Rachel. I keep submitting a different concern and keep getting messages saying this person mariascarpello helped us but they didn’t. We are still waiting.

  The “next” button at the bottom of the home page doesn’t work. Doesn’t navigate to “page 2”.

  Any way you could help with this?

  Hi Joe,

  A couple other Happiness Engineers replied to you privately via email about this issue. Can you check your spam folder to see if any emails from WordPress.com ended up there? You can also check our Gmail Issues page for more tips for finding those emails.

  I’ll include a copy of that original email reply:

  Thanks for letting us know! This looks like a bug in our theme, I’ve notified our theme team and they should fix it soon. Meanwhile you can remove the pagination by increasing the number of items in a page in Settings -> Reading. This will remove the links at the bottom and show all the items at once.

  Joe, the pagination issue on the Eventbrite Multi issue has been fixed. If you’d like to reset your homepage as it was before the event pagination should now work correctly. I’m sorry about the wait and thank you for your patience.
