Why is publicizing to Facebook no longer working since Timeline?

  I had my blog set up to automatically post my updates on my Facebook page. But it seems like since Timeline was introduced on Facebook (grr), the updates no longer happen and I have to do it manually. Anybody else experiencing this / have a fix?

  Many people are experiencing the same issue. You can try the full reconnect procedure detailed at http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook including step 3 (removing the FB app), which is probably the most important step. However, the best option of all is not to robopost. Simply post manually and you will find that’s far better rceived than roboposting is.

  Thanks, timethief. I have been noticing it’s a little nicer to post a little intro to the post on FB so people maybe are more likely to click through…is that why it’s better received that way, you think?

  Yes I do think so. When it comes to Facebook I go with what raincoaster says. She’s into manually posting, rather than robo-posting. The former is personal and the latter is impersonal and has a “spammy” feel to it.
