Why is scheduled post publishing to Facebook when box is unchecked?

When I schedule posts, I uncheck the option to publish to Facebook because I do not want the content sent there. When the post publishes at the scheduled time, it publishes to Facebook anyway, along with Google and Twitter (which I do have checked). Why is this happening and how can I stop it?

That’s very strange and requires a look by Staff so I tagged this thread for assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

P.S. Make sure you have not set up some other means of publishing to Facebook aside from the Publicize app. Also note that scheduled posts do not publish until the first visitor to the site after the date and time scheduled clicks in and triggers publication of the post. If you have sharing icons enabled I’m wondering if one of your visitors may be clicking the share icon on the post itself.

Sorry but I don’t have or want a Facebook account so I don’t know. That said, either another Volunteer or Staff will assist you in this thread as soon as they can.

I found the culprit. It is not a wordpress issue. Twitter was reposting to my facebook page. I appreciate the suggestion. I never would have thought to look there. Thanks!
