Why is sign up so painful?
-
Why does WordPress make inviting someone to my blog so bloody painful.
If I sign someone up as a viewer and send them an email.
They should be able to create an account and go directly to my blog. That’s how it should work.Instead, WordPress, makes you sign 9 people up, then they create an account, then they aren’t even given access to the account until I approve it. But wait, it gets better.
They have to go back into the email to find my blog.
You would think by giving someone explicit rights it would bypass some of this crap?

Sorry, looking over it, it’s poorly written. I’m medicated and no, it’s not thorazine.
What I meant to say was when I signed up 9 of my family members.

That would be because (1) the software needs to be able to apprehend the differences between legitimate users and intruders attempting to hack into your blog. And (2) to p[prevent people signing up a list users without their assent for doing so. Approve the users and blog on. http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#invite-people-to-view-your-private-blog
