Why is text in editor different to text in preview?
-
Hi,
The text in a final para of a post in editor reads:
‘PPS: My collection of short stories, Echoes of Resistance: Stories from the Frontlines, is available to buy as a paperback and eBook.’
In the preview it reads:
‘PPS: My collection of short stories, Echoes of Resistance: Stories from the Frontlines, is available to buy as a paperback and eook.
is available to buy as a paperback and eBook.’
The above text in the previewer is the last of about three attempts to correct the text by typing it out again. The ‘eook’ read ‘eBook’ in the editor and had a link inserted.
On the actual published post the text is correct (post was edited after publishing). Can anyone explain what’s going on here?

It appears you’re experiencing an issue with the block editor where text is being duplicated or not displaying correctly in the preview. This can sometimes happen due to caching or browser-related issues.
Since the published post shows the correct text, I’d suggest trying a few troubleshooting steps:
- 1. Clear your browser cache and cookies
- 2. Try editing in a different browser or incognito mode
- 3. Temporarily disable any browser extensions
If the problem persists, it may be a bug in the editor. In that case, I’d recommend reaching out to the support team for further assistance, as they can investigate more deeply and potentially file a bug report if needed.
