Why is the ban users check box being cleared when I update the banned user ip addresses

I have three webpages that I administer. on one webpage whenever I update the ban users check box it is cleared. Also the ip addresses have been changed from nnn.*.*.* to nnn.0.0.0/8 or nnn.nnn.0.0 to nnn.nnn.0.0/16. Consequently I keep getting hits trying to access my webpage for ips that I have tried to block.

You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.
