Why is the comment section of my latest article not reachable anymore?

Even the link to my latest article doesn’t work anymore:
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I suspect that either the number of comments (1,782), or their total volume, may be responsible for these issues. I’ve tagged the topic for staff attention. Please wait for staff to respond.

I had already more than 1.700 comments to my articles without any problems.
I have to realize that even the link to my actual article doesn’t work anymore:
It’s a critical article about Turkey and Erdogan’s reaction against a German Comedian – and critical towards the German Government too.
I really hope that WordPress will solve the problem.
In the meantime I offered my followers this detour: go on the start page, click on the second latest article, click on the button of “next article”, and there you are, viewing and using the comments section.
I think that this malfunction of WordPress has a political background. And I would be very grateful if WordPress could solve the problem.

The issue is that you both have a very nigh number of comments, and have comment threading (nesting) turned on. This creates a huge bottleneck for the server as it has to check every single comment to see if it should be nested into a previous comment.
I would suggest that you try turning off threading:

Thank you – but since today the links to the comments section of my blog function again.
I’m happy that since today the links to the comment section work again.
Unfortunately I don’t understand your recommendation:
nested into a previous comment.
I would suggest that you try turning off threading:
cause my WordPress account is in German language, and I don’t understand IT-English.
I had already reduced the answering function to comments down to five (and got comments that I “censor”) and have now, after receiving your message, altered the page breaking point from 30 to 25 “leading comments”.
The point is that I don’t know how WordPress evaluates “leading comments”.
And the other point is why links on this actual blog article didn’t work anymore, whereas the same links in the previous article with much more comments did work.
Anyway, I’m really delighted that my WordPress-blog functions again. My hearty thanks to anybody who contributed. ;-)

The same problem emerged today.
I already reduced the leading comments with nested answers (5) down to 9 per page, but the comment section is not available. Even the detour of clicking on my second last article on my blog and then clicking on “next article”, showing the comments, doesn’t work anymore.
What is going wrong with WordPress?

You are going to need to turn off nested comments (threading) in order to stop this issue, I think:
