Why is the content of my new page displaying on my front page?

I’ve been attempting to add a new page to my blog. I set this new page to have an existing page as a parent. However, whenever I publish the new page, the content of that page shows up on my front page. My front page is currently set to static and my theme has a slider. When the new page content shows up, the slider is missing and so is the other formatting of my front page. How can I publish my new page without the content showing up on my front page?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

It looks like you set your Front page as a static page, but a specific page was not selected. Please go to Settings > Reading in your Dashboard and select a Front and Posts page as seen in the screenshot below:

Make sure to click Save Changes at the bottom of the page!

    Cheers!
