Why is the import from Blogger not working?

I have an old blogger account (gheinew.blogspot.com) and I am hoping to transfer old posts and comments over to WordPress. I have exported the XML file however when I try to upload on the import page (https://gheiblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=blogger) it sends request then comes back to the same page with no upload.
I am working from a slow connection so I am not sure if I am simply not able to support the upload (3.2MB) or if there is another problem with the way I am uploading it.
If you could please assist me I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

After checking your account, it appears that your import was unsuccessful, as I’m not able to see traces of the XML file. Can you kindly retry the import? Let me know if this continues to be a problem. Thanks and good luck!

Hi! Thank you so much for your responses. I was able to upload the file and got a kind of final looking import processed notification. However, it has now been more than 24 hours and I am still not finding any record of it to work with on my account. If you could please help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
