why is the navigation bar superimposed on the bottom of the header?

  Hi Chris!

  While your header is the correct dimensions, the theme assumes that your header will be an image, and your title with be text that is placed on top of that image. That is the way the theme’s demo is functioning here:

  The menu bar is meant to be slightly superimposed on top of the header image. If you want your header to be entirely clear of the menu, your should create the image in dimensions that subtract the menu’s height (37px).

  So, the menu will not be super-imposed over your header image if your header image is 1000x163px.
