Why is the number of people subscribed incorrect?

  I know for a fact that I follow my new blog. I received an e-mail saying that someone subscribed. When you go to my blog it still says “Join 1 other follower”, when I go under subscriptions it only shows me. I’ve talked to this other person (my sister) and she says that she subscribed this morning.

  Is there something wrong?

  Hi, did your sister click the confirmation link for the subscription that would have been sent via email? The widget and your stats will only list confirmed subscribers. I see 2 right now so it may have sorted itself out.

  Any subscriber who has entered their email address but not clicked the confirmation link won’t be counted in the following number.
