Why is the old display name attaching to the new user with new email address?

    I have changed my email address and username (although the same are still “alive”) for most purposes but when I sign in to WordPress and the particular blogsites I am interested in using the new username and password I find the blogsite offers space by for comment by a named (pseudonymous) contributor but that is the old display name attached to the old email address and username. Why? Please note that it is not just a change of username or password or display name but a different email address as well.

    Hmm. A few things you could check:

    Do you have a gravatar account associated with both email addresses that might need updating?

    On your dashboard admin: have you changed the email address in ‘Users’ as well as in Settings > General, or just one or the other?
