Why is the post counter that appears when I publish a post stuck at 60?

  My post counter seems to be stuck at 60…the dashboard shows the correct number, but the one that pops up when you publish is stuck. Not a big deal. Is it because of different authors?

  On what page do you see your post counter being stuck?

  Can you please try clearing out your cache?

  Here is what I see right after I publish a new post: (gray left sidebar)
  (Cannot insert screen shot)….the last 2 days it says “You’ve published 61 posts” although the dashboard says 70something.

  Not a big deal, just puzzling.

  That’s correct, you have published 60 posts. The dashboard shows the post count of all users, which adds another 10 posts.
