Why is the post that I just typed and edited blank on my blog?

Yesterday, fter typeing a (my 50+ post) blog post for over a 1/2 hour and I corrected suggested spelling errors and posting – all that I have is a title. THe post itself is blank. Even all of the auto save drafts were blank. I deleted the post and retyped from scratch and posted again – and I got the same thing, a blank post with just a title.

It sounds like you experienced a browser-related issue while posting — you might try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies:

THanks for the suggestion. I checked, and I have the most current version of Firefox and IE9. I have Firefox setup to auto delete temp files and cookies, and I manually deleted them for IE9. I have now gone in using Firefox and rewritten the blog, but I get the same results. A blank page. I tried updating the current page AND adding a new page and got the same blank page results.

The marjority of my blogs have been entered from the “quickpress” entry area on my dashboard, and sometimes I will enter via Pressthis button on my firefox browser if I’m on a webpage that I want to share. I entered this blank one from my dashboard. I also included a link to a URL (copied and pasted ) and a photo (copied and pasted from the same URL webpage ). I’ve done this before with no issues. When I tried to retype the blank blog via edit, the full screen editor page came up, but I find that hard to find, so I use the quickpress for new entries. This time I saved the blog entry on my desktop so I can put it back once we figure out why this is happening.
BTW: I have Win 7 Pro 64-bit SP 1, 2.13 GHz, 8GB memory, IE9.0.8 (default), Firefox 9.0.1, andy my hard drive is less than half full. I also reboot every morning. I don’t now if this matter, but I thought that you might ask. -

That seemed to work. I was able to make the post and it has the contents.
But… I’ve had some very odd things happen since yesterday that I don’t know if are related. Yesterday I started getting a request when I reboot to allow my automatic backup program to run, a request to allow MS Outlook to update my harddrive when I start Outlook up, and when I started Workpress it told me that I needed to allow cookies, but I had not turned them off. All of this started after I deleted all cookies and temp internet files as requested for this problem. -
That sounds like you may be having some larger issues with Windows. Unfortunately, we can’t actually help with that.
