Why is the Sidebar missing when viewing a post?
-
On my blog http://foreachbiscuit.wordpress.com, in an individual post the sidebar html is not rendered. Why is that?
e.g.
http://foreachbiscuit.wordpress.com/2007/10/11/custom-webconfig-settings/Many of my visitors are coming in from search engines direct to a post and I want the sidebar reflected at all times to attract to the feed and other posts.
Is this possible? I can’t find a setting to adjust the sidebar? -
If you wish to have the sidebar appear on every page in your blog then you must choose another theme that is coded to display the sidebar on every page. The Contempt theme you are using now does not have this feature.
Here’s a link to theme reviews that may be helpful http://internetducttape.com/tools/wordpress/wordpress-theme-reviews/
Note that the newest themes are not included in the theme reviews and must be separately “tested” to determine which one best suits your needs. -
Thanks for the tip. I had assumed Themes controlled only the css.. not what html was actually rendered.

@thebloggertips
What is the URL of your blog? From the way you stated your question I kind of get the feeling you might be self-hosted. -
Hi,
It is self-hosted. http://thebloggertips.com
Trying to use self-hosted URL. Not sure you can help?
