Why is the text editor malfunctioning?

    I hope that my terminology (or lack thereof) doesn’t prevent anyone from figuring out what I’m talking about. When I’m adding a new post or editing an old post, the text editor box does a strange and annoying thing. It flickers back and forth between a full-screen view and a view that has the left half containing the text and any photos (and a slider bar) and the right half containing nothing at all. I wondered if this was a compatibility issue with IE 8 Beta, so I tried accessing the site through Firefox. While this makes the job of editing someone easier, it doesn’t prevent the problem just described totally; and either way the final post isn’t justified or line-spaced properly. I have to go into the HTML code and manually remove the < div > and < /div > codes (among other things at times) in order to solve the justification and line spacing problems. Is there anyone else facing this issue, and if so, what is causing it?
