  Why is the time on wordpress four hours ahead of eastern standard time?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  All blogs start with UTC 0000 time (London England) – so you can move to London or change the settings to a city in your time zone

  Dashboard >> Settings >> General >> Pick a city in your time zone – remember to save changes

  The company is based on the West Coast.

  For a world wide country – UTC 0000 as default makes good sense more universal than Pacific Coast Time –
