Why is the WordPress app now acting up??

  So, I did this 2 step authentication thing not really knowing what it was and it looks like it has screwed a few things up. I have now deleted the app from my phone and turned it off on my settings here, but every time I go to the wordpress app on my phone it says:

  It looks like your connection has been broken. Try disconnecting from WordPress.com then reconnecting.

  I have sign out out and back in a few times and it won’t stop. What do I do??

  Hi,

  What type of phone are you using? When you were using two-step, did you use an application password for your phone?

  Yes, I installed that authentication app. I ended up deleting the app, and also deleting the wordpress app and reloading it. Seemed to work. I have an iPhone. I’m not doing that two step thing, don’t want to screw it up again. Is it really necessary??

  If you’re not using two-step authentication, you don’t need the authentication app.
