Why is the wordpress editor changing my formatting

When I try to edit my text in html everything looks great, but then when I update it and view the page there is a single random space in between lines. I don’t know how to get rid of it, especially when there is nothing in the html code that shows that there is a space. I am trying to make the first four lines centered, and then the paragraphs following it on the left. But when I put the code in it doesn’t apply to the whole four lines; only the first two. So I put the code in again for the second two lines, which centers all four lines but leaves a big space in the middle of them. This is driving me crazy! how do I fix this??

After looking into your account, I found that you did have a Private post where the first 4 lines were centered. I’m assuming this is the post you are talking about. If not, please let me know.
I just viewed it and I’m seeing the first 4 lines centered without lines in between. We’re you able to fix this? But I do see big space after the first 4 lines.
