why is the wordpress logo showing up on my Facebook link to my blogpost

  When I post new blogposts on my wordpress blog, the wordpress image shows up there instead of images that I thought I tagged to the blog entry. can you help?

  Hi Rebecca,

  Which post are you having problems with? I just took a look at this one:

  Was it a different post by any chance? Note that your images do have to be at least 200px along one side in order for Facebook to use them in a post, otherwise the WordPress.com logo gets used in many cases.

  Thanks. It looks like it is any post that automatically posts from my blog to my fb page. The ones that I have added as a link myself seem to show the pictures.

  Hrmm, that is very strange! Publicize is supposed to send basically the same information as when you provide the link.

  If you don’t mind, do you still have a facebook post in place with the “W” logo on it on your page? If so, can you give me your facebook page so I can take a look (assuming your facebook page isn’t locked down). I’d love to see this first hand.

  If you scroll down the “solidarity ethics” post, you will see the “W” logo. I deleted all the others and delinked the fb link to my blog and have been manually linking all my posts into fb. That seemed to work more effectively.

  Thanks for the link! I just scrolled through that page, but I’m not seeing a WordPress logo. Can you make sure the post on your account is public? If its private or restricted in any way I won’t be able to see it.

  I totally understand if you’d rather not do this though. Unfortunately, this may be happening because your theme doesn’t support Featured Images. Facebook may not be seeing the attached photos correctly on that initial share.
