Why is the wordpress part of my blog name gone when I didn't ask for that?

  So, the question is, why did the blog get deleted? Most of it, anyway. I never wanted one without the wordpress part in its name. I was happy with the one I had. I never asked to change it. I’m completely amazed that it’s gone. Please explain what reason you had for doing that. All I wanted was to continue to have the same blogs I’d had all along. I didn’t want to drop the wordpress part of the name. I wanted everything to remain exactly as it was.

  Well, I see that my blog, sundancememories.wordpress.com will “never expire.” Thank you. I was confused because I thought I had to pay nearly $100 to keep it, when I never cancelled it in the first place, when all along it was the one I didn’t want, sundancememories.com, which I never asked for, that was being “cancelled.”
  I hope you will reword your notices to wordpress users so that others don’t go through the same thing I did and think their blog has been cancelled.
