Why is the WordPress.com "like" button not loading on any WordPress.com site?

The “like” button (NOT Facebook like button) for posts on WordPress.com is not loading on my site. It is just all grey, and inactive, and it’s written “Like Loading…” – anyone have any idea?

Are you aware that your Business Plan gives you access to live chat support? In future, please use the form at https://wordpress.com/help/contact to contact us, instead of posting directly in the forums.
If the like button does not finish loading for you on sites, it’s either a problem with your browser or with your internet connection. Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies, and also check if the button loads if you use a different browser. And unplug your modem/router for a few seconds to reset it.
