Why is the WP favicon appearing as the letter G?
-
It used to be that when accessing my WP.com site, I would see a little WP favicon. Now I see a black G and this appears on both FF and Chrome. What’s the G stand for?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Paul,
I have checked your site with FireFox and Chrome and I could not find a favicon with a black G. If you see something different can you please upload a screenshot to your Media Library? I’d be more than happy to take a look for you!
If you would like to use your own favicon please view this guide here.
Cheers!

Hi Paul,
It looks like this is the default Genesis Favicon that comes with when you use Genesis as the theme on self-hosted WordPress.org. However, you can change this through the guide I showed you before.
Please note that it can take up to a few days for the Blavatar (favicon) to show up so please be patient!
Thank you!

That’s kinda weird since I’m not using that theme. Anyhoo, I was just curious.
Thanks for the link to the guide. I’ll take this as a good opportunity to make my own favicon.

Hi Paul,
That sounds great! Let me know if you have any questions with the new Blavatar!
