Why is there a difference in the stats of my followers?

  Hi just a query – my admin site says I have 7 active followers, when I was signing my Mum up my actual blog page came up saying I have 119 followers when she clicked on follow.
  Can you explain why this is so different?

  Hi there,

  There a number of different ways someone can follow your blog. It looks like you have quite a few Facebook followers. :-)

  You can find more information on your followers at Dashboard -> Site Stats.
